new apartment, new year and new purposes ... In 2009 I happened to eat some green cleaning products to declare all non-toxic floor! Why? For my health and the planet.
for my health because as Greenpeace have "there is growing evidence linking toxic exposure to diseases such as allergies, asthma, cancer, reproductive disorders and endocrine system." Or e n Ecologists in Action, "Many have tried in their own skin the drawbacks of these products because their ingredients biocides attack not only germs: in people irritate skin, cause allergies and cause sensitive reactions in the eye, nose, throat, and lung damage. "
And for the health of the planet because" these substances come to nature through drains and continue to impact on the environment, causing, for example, eutrophication of rivers and many other known issues "and that if I buy all types of cleaning products that are supposed to be required (cleaner, limpiaparquet, floor cleaner, clean countertops, clean bathroom, toilet disinfectant, etc etc etc!) use lots of plastic (oil).
The outcome in these days of thorough cleaning (with the release of the floor) has been (is being) a fun, interesting, sustainable and healthy.
What solutions I've used?
I just bought four
cleaners: cleaner (Serving for almost everything), dishwasher soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener . Green. Ecover brand , already used before for the dishes. Found in organic stores.
And then I made with vinegar, baking soda and lemon. Combine the overall environmental cleaning with these ingredients and hot water gives brilliant results. You do not need anything more and your house will be non-toxic and smells much more pleasant and natural. Well, if you spend with vinegar, of course ;-) but evaporates quickly!
I searched and I searched some tips on the network (as these or these ) and I point issue me a geek and I just hope that someone opens a green cleaning academy like the one already in France and is about to me!
