GOD SPEAKS FOR THE GIFT OF LOVE AT 1a. Corinthians 13 (King James 1960)

The primacy of love

• 1 If I speak in tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a cymbal tinkling.
• 2 And though I have prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, (A) and have not charity, I am nothing.
• 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor and surrender my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
• 4 Love is patient and kind, love does not envy, love does not boast, it is not proud
• 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
• 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
• 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
• 8 Love never fails, but the prophecies will end, and leave the language, and science end.
• 9 we know in part and prophesy in part
• 10 but when perfection comes, then what is in part will end.
• 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, thought like a child, I reasoned like a child: but when I became a man, I put childish ways.
• 12 Now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face. Now I know in part but then shall I know as I am known.
• 13 And now abideth faith, hope and love, these three, but the greatest of these is love.


REFLECTION:

LOVE is a decision, especially when we know that God is love, and we are in His likeness, which would be fine after reading the word of God in 1a. Corinthians 13 we put it into practice. In this world love every day is lost, but those who believe in Christ who gives us through a genuine love. This is not to say that all Christians in the world is full of love, to get to have that love of Christ flowing through us. We keep a very close relationship with our God. Only if we truly know God we can talk about what is love, pure. We

should be in this world full of evil preserve it with our love. Sometimes we hurt, but God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power and self-control and that is why we must be like him, forgiving and asking forgiveness and living in love and respect because we are the image of our heavenly father . Sometimes it is difficult to forgive but God's love is stronger than hate and that is why we will win the darkness which are hatred, anger and betrayal, love and light of God illuminates all and removes the darkness of our giving love lives!
